Well, nearly got the back to back victories in the Wisconsin Bass Federation qualifier at Buffalo lake. The lake was very stingy and hot. Took 2nd place by less than a tenth of a pound. Good job by my boater again Mike Smith for finding some fish.

Well, LaCrosse was not as kind to me yesterday. We were on a pretty good pattern and bite but unfortunately they were on the smaller size. Managed a limit but finished middle of the pack. Congrats to Cade Laufenberg on his victory in a borrowed boat. It was nice to see the sun shine and not have to wear my deer hunting gear. Next BFL stop Winneconne on the Wolf River chain June 13.

Fished the B.A.S.S. Nation Qualifier this weekend in Lacrosse. Had a good time, finished 20th.Caught a few, learned a lot about fishing this time of year. Fishing the spawn is way different in water you can't see through. Electronics make it possible. It's difficult for a co-angler but not impossible. B.A.S.S. nation runs a quality event. The first Major Leage Fishing tournament out of LaCrosse, WI. on the Mississippi river is in the books and I can't say I'm disappointed. Finished 3rd out of about 100 boats. Had a limit of 3 for 12 lbs 2 Oz. Had a good time with Maverick, my boat captain. It was very cool,30-45°, with 25-35mph winds all day.
