Just an idea to throw out there for anyone interested! The Tyler Vanderheiden Memorial is hosting their annual road run. This can be done in person (North Platte) or virtually the weekend of May 24th through May 26th.
The run is a choice between two miles or five miles in honor of Tyler Vanderheiden. All proceeds from the run go back to Nebraska Game and Parks, as Tyler was an avid hunter, fisherman, and felt most at home in nature.
This cause really touched home for me because it supports mental health awareness while supporting nature and the Nebraska Game and Parks. I know I personally use running as my own sense of free therapy for mental health so I figured I would share in case anyone else is interested in signing up.
My husband and I are signed up and received our shirts to wear during our run in the mail yesterday. 😊
