Unfortunately we have some bad news! Uncle Ribz Bait & Tackle is closing its doors. When we open the doors we did it as a honor system meaning we trust that products leaving the door was paid for! Unfortunately we have had some people that took advantage of that and have not been paying. We do apologize for the inconvenience this may cause to some people but unfortunately with people stealing and purposely contaminating and killing a whole batch at times we are left to close the doors. With that being said we have one dozen of each small shiners and big shiners left to be sold today. After today doors will be locked down. Thank you to all the amazing people that was honest!

I am by no means an artist, but wanted to lay it out so people understand what we are talking about. We have no problem at all putting a sidewalk in for the baitshop. It would make it easier for customers to get in and out. We are not understanding why they are making us put a 2nd sidewalk on the Opposite side of the block that will be nowhere close to the baitshop. We also don't have a problem putting one in if another business went in on 4th street.

Unfortunately right now we have some bad news. As of right now the new baitshop is not going up. The city is wanting us to put a side walk on 4th street to Anthony when the baitshop would be right behind J&j pitstop close to 3rd street. They are wanting us to put it on the Opposite side of the block that has nothing to do with the baitshop. We have tried to work with them that if something else was built back there we would be more then happy to put one in. But as of right now we don't see the Purpose of a sidewalk that leads to nothing at all back there. We was willing to put it in writing and it was turned down. I am working with couple other people from the city and they have been AMAZING and helping with what they can. But the part of the city that approves what new building go up is not wanting to give. All we wanted to do was expand the baitshop and move it closer to the store so it would be a one stop shop with everything from ice fishing to normal fishing to state park stickers and even more but the city is having other ideas right now. They truly make it almost impossible for new things to come in. If you have any ideas on other steps we would love for some ideas. Right now I'm not willing to give up yet but it's also looking like a losing battle.

We have some news to tell everyone! In the next couple of months the bait shop at 424 Cody will be closing down permanently. But that's not the end of Uncle Ribz Bait & Tackle. We are moving down behind J & J pitstop and expanding!!!!!! The bait shop at 424 will stay open until we have the new shop built and Product in. We have a plan to get propane, firewood, outdoor items, and of course bait and tackle. We will look into selling permits and licenses to the lakes and hunting. What we are needing help with are ideas on what you would like to see come to alliance. What are things hard to find in alliance when you need it? More information to come in the next couple of months on the building.

We Possibly might have some amazing news in the next couple months. But for right now I'm trying to get an idea what everyone is looking for in a baitshop!!!! Is there something you can't find in town? Anything and everything about a baitshop you would like to see drop a comment. I'm gonna be making a list and see what I can do.
