Parkettes are organized for the purpose of providing all boys and girls, regardless of age, financial, mental, or physical ability, the opportunity to experience the joy and benefits of gymnastics while becoming part of our family of athletes. Toward that end, the officers, directors, staff, and volunteers are committed to:

Programs that cover the entire range of youth and their development, be

ginning with pre-school classes, with the opportunity for advancement to team programs through which young athletes may ultimately gain national, international, and Olympic recognition. Programs for children who have special physical, mental or emotional needs so they may gain physical benefits and inner confidence through the sport of gymnastics. An environment to experience the importance of physical fitness, including strength, balance, flexibility, and coordination, and the value of a disciple.ined training regiment that enhances any athletic endeavor. A learning experience with emphasis on the values of responsibility, competitiveness, dedication, and goal setting, which can be retained throughout adulthood. A community resource that promotes the Lehigh Valley by increasing its exposure nationally and internationally. Exhibitions for schools, service organizations, and community events to promote public awareness of the importance of physical fitness, and to offer positive role models to aid in the social development of area youth. The resources to aid young gymnasts striving for a berth on the Olympic Team, a college scholarship, or simply valuable self-esteem.

From Parkettes to the collegiate level 🤸‍♀️💙

Former Parkettes gymnast Ryli McGorry has taken her skills to the next level as a member of the Utica University Women’s Gymnastics Team!

Ryli spent 15 years at Parkettes, where some of her favorite memories were made at PKI. For Ryli, competing at her home meet was about more than gymnastics, it was about coming together as a team and supporting one another like family.

Ryli says her time at Parkettes helped shape her into the disciplined person she is today.

“We had to come in when we’re sore, we’re tired, and give our 100% every day.”

Now competing at the collegiate level, Ryli continues to carry those lessons with her both inside and outside the gym.

We’re so proud to see where her Parkettes journey has taken her! 💙

From growing up at Parkettes to competing together at Temple University, brothers Cian and Tadhg Bailey have spent more than a decade in the sport of gymnastics.

Along the way, they learned lessons that extend far beyond the gym: perseverance when things don’t come easily, discipline when motivation isn’t there, and the importance of falling in love with the process.

Their advice to the next generation of Parkettes athletes? Keep working, trust the work you’ve put in, and don’t lose sight of why you started. Have fun and enjoy the process. ❤️

We’re proud to see Cian and Tadhg continue their gymnastics journey at Temple and carry these lessons with them into what comes next.
