Soka Athletics announces the promotion of Liam Delury as Head Coach of Women’s Soccer ⚽️🦁
Delury officially takes the helm following his role as assistant coach where he helped in building the culture and success of the program in recent years. He now leads Soka into its next chapter.
“I am incredibly honored and excited to step into the role of Head Coach for Soka Women’s Soccer. This program has a strong foundation, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to help lead it into its next chapter,” said Delury.
“I want to extend a sincere thank you to Wendy for her dedication, leadership, and the impact she has had on the program. Her commitment to the players and the culture she helped build have set a standard that I deeply respect, and I look forward to continuing that work.”
Delury added, “I am truly excited about the group of student-athletes within the program and the potential that lies ahead. My focus will be on creating an environment that challenges players to grow, compete, and develop both on and off the field. I believe in building a strong, connected team culture while maintaining high standards in training, performance, and accountability. I am looking forward to getting started, building relationships, and representing Soka with pride”
“Liam has a tremendous coaching background which will make for a seamless transition stepping into the role of head coach for our Soka women’s soccer program,” said Director of Athletics Mike Moore. “Liam is passionate about soccer, and we are confident he will continue to elevate the program and its student athletes for years to come.”
The future is bright for Soka Women’s Soccer.
