Please help clean out your closets for Aliso Viejo Ice Palace and Aliso Viejo Avalanche Hockey Club!

Place your unwanted, gently used textiles and items in tied, white trash bags.
(See list of acceptable items on flyer)

Proceeds will go towards buying a new Zamboni.

Drop off your bags at between January 2nd through January 15th. Bags are due no later than January 16th.

Each player will have a goal of collecting 6+ bags.

We are thrilled to announce that registration is now open for the 2024/25 season!

We understand the importance of a seamless registration and tryout process, therefore, we strongly encourage you to pre-register online in order to avoid delay at check-in.

Pre-registration will also include payment for your tryout fee. Tryouts will be held at Aliso Viejo Ice Palace. We look forward to seeing you on the ice!

We’re ready for Spring League to start!!

For 8U, 10U and 12U divisions, we will be shuffling the teams every Sunday. This will give players a chance to compete with and against everyone in their age group.

Our 14U teams will play every Saturday. Each team will play once per weekend at either 3:00pm or 4:30pm Saturdays. The rosters for each team are subject to change in order to create even and competitive matches every week.

If you can’t make it to a game, please notify us so we can adjust accordingly!

I started my coaching career 28 years ago at the Aliso Viejo Ice Palace and to be recognized with this award while back at Aliso Viejo for our inaugural AV Avalanche season is very special! So happy Michelle was able to be here with me.”

Meet Coach Justin - Head of Goaltending

Justin is a seasoned hockey mentor with a deep passion for nurturing young talent. With over 15 years of coaching experience, Justin has had the privilege of guiding numerous aspiring athletes towards achieving their goals.

Through a combination of personalized training, strategic guidance, and unwavering support, Justin instills in his athletes the necessary skills, discipline, and determination to excel both on and off the ice. His dedication to fostering growth and fostering a love for the game makes Justin a highly respected coach in the hockey community and a huge asset to the AV Avalanche.

He has played a pivotal role in shaping the development of a remarkable young player, Oliver Kanat, who successfully earned a spot in the highly competitive Western Hockey League (WHL); plus countless others at the Jr/College levels.

Justin also plays a huge part at . He gives SHS members a unique opportunity to help improve their goaltending skills at a weekly clinic.

When Justin isn’t coaching, you can find him playing golf, hanging out with his dog, Obi, and traveling with his wife, Laura.
