Range Rules

1. All Club members will be issued one (1) badge and a key for the locks at the range.

Any member that is at the range is responsible for the range at that time. Badges must be worn on outer clothing.

2. IMMEDIATE FAMILY ONLY will be allowed with the card holding member. The club member must accompany his/her family when they are on the range, at all times.

3. Before entering or exiting the range all weapons MUST be unloaded.

4. Safety glasses must be worn while shooting. Ear pro

tection must be worn at all times.

5. No Alcohol beverages are allowed. There is ZERO tolerance of alcoholic beverages. No one under the influence of alcohol will be allowed on the range.

6. No minors (under the age of 18 on the rifle range & or under 21 on the handgun range) without adult supervision. All minors must be STRICTLY supervised at all times.

7. No shooting will be allowed outside of the shed. Exception: When rifle shooters are not present, pistol shooters can advance to the targets at closer distances.

8. No fully automatic weapons are allowed on the range.

9. No person may handle fi****ms while another person goes beyond the firing line. When anyone is beyond the firing line, all rifles must be in racks with bolts open. All pistols must be made safe.

10. Careless, negligent, or promiscuous shooting is forbidden.

11. Cooperative, courteous, and responsible conduct will be observed when more than one range distance is being shot at the same time.

12. The range should be kept clean at all times. Remove your targets when you are finished shooting. Pick up brass on the firing line. If you move or take down target stands or rails, put them back when you are finished shooting.

13. Organized club sponsored activities take presedence over all other shooting activities.

14. Any South Texas Gun & Bow Club member has the authority to expel anyone from the range who is observed violating any of the range rules. Any club member observing range rule violations may bring issue to any Club Officer. The the violation(s) will be taken to the Executive Board.

15. Fi****ms and archery are not allowed on the north side of the range. South side berm only.

16. Commercial venders are not allowed on the range.

17. No cans, bottles, boxes, rocks or other objects will be used as targets. No hunting is allowed.

18. Safety first ........ at ALL times!
