What could happen it you nodded off in the stand without a NOD STOPPER???
From: BobcatJerry 09-Jul-12..I personally know two people who did, they both are in wheel chairs. Ones a quadriplegic the other a paraplegic. Another guy from the area fell and crawled a mile with his arms and hands, as his legs were paralyzed. Not sure of his condition now. If i get tired, I just get down. Usually that's enough to wake you up. Whats the difference if you are a sleep. Are you going to wake up magically when the critter comes by? Not worth it. I always wear a harness, and even a guy here in Ohio died a year or two ago when he feel asleep and fell, and the harness squeezed him to death. Not a good harness, but I use to use one just like it. That's why they call them accidents, if you knew they were going to occur, they wouldn't happen.
"NOD STOPPER" COULD PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING" www.marshmonsterproducts.com

I have , but not on purpose. I feel fortunate to have lived through those unintended naps.

In fact, in the last five years, there have been 182 hunting accidents reported to the state’s Department of Natural Resources, of which 100 involved tree stands, said Phil Bloom, DNR spokesman. That is nearly 55 percent of the total accidents coming from falls from tree stands.
Most of those who fell from tree stands were not wearing any form of fall prevention device, which could have prevented serious injury, Bloom said.
