The course will be closed Monday morning, June 15, for the Senior Tour Over 50 golf outing. League players and anyone looking to play a round should be able to get on the course around 3:00 p.m. We're serving ribs for the Senior Tour and typically make extras for to-go orders. Call ahead and reserve yours while supplies last! Ribs and all the fixings - $15. Ready after 4:00 p.m. 515.295.7351.

We're also excited for the first day of the Algona Recreation Department's golf lessons, also on Monday, June 15, starting at 9:00 a.m. What a perfect blend today - all ages coming together!

That's the thing with golf: you can start very young and play through all ages and stages!

This is what it's all about, what *River Road* is all about. It's going to be great!!

A Colorado friend asked recently, “what is it that makes River Road so special?” I thought about my answer for a minute and then said, “At River Road it’s Iowa nice through and through. It starts with a friendly greeting- a real person to welcome you. No QR codes here! We get to know people, they become our friends and family. We’re like the Cheers of golf courses! Next, we’ve got both a driving range and a putting green. Drive for show, putt for dough- we’ve got you covered! Then, put all that practice to good use on the course. Enough hilly terrain for a challenge but manageable enough for a beginning golfer. We’ve got the things you need in the pro shop, too many snacks to mention, and so many drinks! We go the extra mile day in and day out for a terrific experience on and off the course! It’s not just *one thing* it’s all this and so much more, including- and we always say it because it’s SO TRUE(!)-the very best members! People are just good here, that’s what makes River Road so special!”

We’re open from sun up to sun down on most days, the clubhouse is open for all the drinks and snacks you can handle, and bags of balls are just $6.00. Ask about our punchcard too, a great way to save some cash!
