How do you test your fitness level? As we age, I see clients continue trying to get that one pull up, or balancing for a certain amount of time, or jumping rope, or skipping, it’s different for everyone. Mine is water skiing. Each year at Migis Lodge, my fitness test is… can I still ski at the age of 52? most importantly, can I still get up the first pull out of the water? I CAN. Now my ankles are weaker for sure, but those years at Cane River, Old River, Red River and all Lakes in between are still paying off (and a lot of taking care of my muscles and aging body). Take care of yourselves and have a goal.

Why do I stay in shape? How do I stay disciplined at age 53? What’s my motivation? Why don’t I stop? So I can climb mountains with my 18 year old… it’s that simple. Manitou Incline
