It is with a very heavy heart I have an announcement to make that I thought I would never do. All these years 15 to be exact I have raced almost every weekend at some track. It all started at viking speedway and viking speedway will forever be my home track and that’s where it will all come to an end on August 28th. The car has been sold and there new owner picks it up on the 29th. Over this past summer I have completely lost all interest in racing. There are many factors that led to this for me personally. If you look back we used to have 10 plus cars that ran every night locally to compete for a championship that actually meant something. Look at it now. In the streets there have been 2, in the MWM there is 1 ect. I don’t have the time to travel to try and win something prestigious again like it felt in the good ol days to win a local track championship. The cost of racing in general. You wouldn’t believe the amount of money being spent in every class and they say money doesn’t win you races…. I tell you what it damn sure helps. I love racing I always will. I love all you fans, all the track workers, all the other drivers, all of my sponsors. Everybody that has helped in 15 years I’m sorry I’m not going to list everybody as if I forget one I will feel terrible. You all have had a huge impact on my life. We leave as still a contender to win every night and that’s another reason I chose now. We have won races in two different classes, we have won 4 championships in the street stocks (one at I-94 speedway three at viking). I have raced 4 different classes (my modified debut is one to remember). My wife, my kids, my parents, my friends, my sponsors, everybody has said are you sure….. well for me personally right now I need to step away. Enjoy these photos and if you have more great memories to share I would love to see and hear them. I hope to see as many people as possible August 28th at the viking speedway to enjoy the night with me. Until next time.
