We had 3 teams compete in the first local tournament of the season which was hosted by Pineville High School on Kincaid Lake. It was a HOT and tough day for sure.

ASH teams consisted of:
Landon Bordelon/Brody Bertsch
William Maupin/Grant Echols
Clint Turrentine/Brennon Bradley

Clint and Brennon came in 1st place and secured Big Bass. Great start to the 2026-2027 season.

We are very proud of the way all of our ASH Anglers represented our school.

We want to wish good luck to the team of Michael Watkins and Clint Turrentine, who are fishing in the SFA National Championship on Lake Cumberland in Kentucky.

Today was day 1 of the tournament, and it was a rough day for many, as only 244 teams were able to bring at least one fish to the scales. Michael and Clint were able to bring a 3-fish limit, placing them in the top 10 percent on day one.

They finished in 33rd place out of 411 boats today.

They will fish for the next two days, and we'll see if they can be consistent.

Good Luck!!

ASH’s very own Tyler Medica with a spectacular catch this week!!! Congratulations Tyler!!!

Tyler Medica of Boyce, LA caught this 11.90-pound bass on 6/5/2026 and weighed it in at Buckeye Landing Marina on Toledo Bend Lake. Tyler will receive a fiberglass replica from the Toledo Bend Lake Association for allowing us to weigh, measure, tag, and return this fish to the Lake alive. Congratulations on your catch? This is fish number 1 for the June 2026-2027 year.

At our recent fishing banquet, we unfortunately missed recognizing one of our deserving anglers. We never want anyone’s hard work and accomplishments to go unnoticed, so we’d like to take a moment to congratulate Andrew Fontenot, Jr. on his participation in the ASH fishing team and for his 3rd place finish in the PHS tournament held September 27, 2025 on Kincaid Lake.

We are proud of what he accomplished this season and are excited that we get the privilege of watching him continue to grow and compete over the next three years.

We apologize for the oversight and hope you will join us in congratulating Andrew Fontenot, Jr. on this well-deserved recognition. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for him! 🎣🏆
