Got myself a little upgrade this year😏
From a bullet hole right out the box, to 80 yd bombs the next day, Mathews Archery really does know how to build a machine!
Couldn't be happier with the set up, and big thanks to everyone Prairie Archery for helping with the set up!
Now to continue the practice until season gets here, and needless to say im already counting the days😅

I've been dabbling a bit with working on my own arrows for awhile now, and finally was able to get all the equipment to do full arrow builds at home!

This is the first blank shaft build thay ive ever done. Finnished product is a 30 1/4" match grade 5.0 carbon shaft with 55 gr half-out inserts, wrapped with 5" One Shot white topo wraps, topped with a straight 4 fletch of 2.5" Drivers.

Super excited to get shooting, and LOVE how this build turned out!

• SD deer trip '25 is in the books. 8 days of hard hunting, miles put on the boots and truck, and camping out for the week. 3 of 6 tags in camp filled had spirits high and will keep this trip in memory for a long time.
• With the highest of highs, the lowest of lows, and everything between. With the lessons learned, experience gained, and time spent with great people. There is no greater mark of success to a hunting trip, no matter the number of tags filled

MN Archery opener is here! A long awaited and highly anticipated season has finally fallen upon us. Though the opening weekend weather is forecasted to be well above the average, the warm temps will not be slowing me down. After what ended up being a wild/shocking week for our country, time spent in a tree closer to God is a much needed escape. Good luck and be safe to everyone hitting the woods for opening weekend!

The 2-man crew took advantage of the long holiday weekend to do some pre-season, out-of-state Mule deer scouting. With numerous boot miles, 1300+ truck miles, truck camping through the nights, and almost an entire day of rain, it was definitely a grind. But some deer were found, new grounds were explored, and God's country was enjoyed as always!

2 weeks in, and we're calling an audible on blind location. Due to dry conditions farmers are hitting the field work early in Mn this yr, so I made the move out of the ag field and into a close by hay field that the birds seem to like right off the roost in the morning. Fingers crossed, we get some cooperation from the birds in the coming days!
