What is "Bull's Gym?"
---------------------------------------------
Bull's Gym is a Karate and Mixed Martial Arts training facility, established in 1984 by Kirk Bullock. Since expanding Bull's Gym to include Mixed Martial Arts in 2006, Mr. Bullock has strived to train some of Central Louisiana's premier fighters and promote some of the area's best MMA events.

Kirk Bullock has won 14 World Karate Championship titles, and was inducted into the United States Karate Alliance Hall of Fame in 1996. Athletes from Bull's Gym have appeared on MTV and competed in the Bellator Fighting Championships. At the present, our fighters have a record of 154 victories to 49 losses; a success rate of roughly 76%. Bull's Gym also brings in outside experts and instructors to guest train on a regular basis, ranging from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to wrestling to boxing.

5. I want to learn MMA techniques, however, I'm unsure if I want to fight in the ring. Can I still train at Bull's Gym?
--------------------------------------------
While we encourage people to compete, it is not a requirement. If you train here, you will receive the same attention as our fighters regardless of your participation in ring fights.
--------------------------------------------
6. What equipment will I need for MMA?
---------------------------------------------
Safety is very important at Bull's Gym. For MMA classes, you need at minimum a mouth guard and an athletic cup. For stand up training, you will also need 16 ounce gloves, shin guards, wrist wraps, and a protective helmet. If you have injuries that require them, knee, elbow, and ankle braces are recommended.
--------------------------------------------
7. I am out of shape/inexperienced/etc, should I improve before trying Bull's Gym?
--------------------------------------------
Don't worry. Nobody comes to their first class in perfect shape, and the training at Bull's Gym will quickly improve your physical condition. As for a lack of experience, if you come to class a little early some of our experienced fighters will help you learn the basic techniques you will need to know, such as "sh*****ng," proper stances, and other skills.
