👑 We wrapped up Princess Month with our Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 dancers this week!

Throughout the month, our dancers used tiaras, wands, scarves, and ribbons to help them understand foundational movement—from tall posture and beautiful arms to balance, musicality, pliés, tendus, and more. It may look like princess play, but every activity is helping build real dance technique in a fun, age-appropriate way! 🩰✨

Building the power before adding the tilt! 💥

Our Senior Contemporary dancers are working through a foundational jump drill using yoga blocks as a visual target. They are not performing full tilt jumps yet—instead, they’re focusing on powerfully kicking the supporting leg out and up to connect with the block. This helps them understand the height, strength, and explosive movement they’ll need when we progress to the full tilt jump!

👑✨ PRINCESS MONTH AT GTTP ✨👑

Our littlest dancers are preparing for their royal coronation! 👸 As they carefully walk across the “castle bridge” holding their royal scarves, they’re using make-believe to develop real dance skills—including balance, coordination, core strength, focus, and graceful arm placement.

Creative activities like this make learning ballet fun, memorable, and magical! 🩰🏰

🌟 STUDENT ASSISTANT TEACHER SPOTLIGHT: CAMILLE HAMILTON 🌟

Meet Miss Camille! 🩰💜

Camille Hamilton is a junior at Alexandria Senior High School and has trained with Miss Sarah at Get To The Pointe Ballet Academy for nine years. During that time, she has grown into a beautiful, accomplished dancer and an important member of our award-winning Competition Team.

Camille recently expanded her classical training at the prestigious Sacramento Ballet Summer Intensive. She has also received a Streetz class scholarship and earned numerous honors alongside her GTTP teammates.

As one of our Student Assistant Teachers, Camille shares her experience with our younger dancers while helping them feel confident, prepared, and welcomed in the classroom. Her dedication, strong technique, kindness, and leadership make her a wonderful role model.

We are incredibly proud to watch Camille continue growing as a dancer, teacher, and leader! ✨
