Alexandria Martial Arts - Indiana At Alexandria Martial Arts we teach Okinawan Gojuryu Karate Dan Stanley is a 7th degree black belt that has studied Okinawan Goju-ryu since 1990.

Heather Smith is a 6th degree black belt that has studied Okinawan Goju-ryu since 1989. We were both taught by Larry Davenport (Hanshi) who is one of the pioneers of karate in Anderson, Indiana. Okinawan Goju-ryu (hard-soft style), is one of the main traditional Okinawan styles of karate. We teach respect (for yourself and others), discipline, confidence and self-defense. We offer Okinawan Kobudo

weapons system (use of weapons). Which means "old martial way of Okinawa". We do not give rank in this system, only teach it within our Goju-ryu classes. These classes are offered to kids and adults. We also offer Ladies only Cardio Kickboxing led by Heather Smith.
