The final event of the 2025 season took place on Saturday August 16th on the Le Homme Dieu Chain. Morning thunder storms delayed take off till around 7am, but it didn't seem to turn the bite off for most of the field. The overall weight record was once again smashed by over 2 pounds!
The team of Clarence Rasmussen and Terry Crosgrove had 6 smallmouth that weighed 26.23 lbs. An absolute dream day for the two brown bass specialists! Their big fish was a 4.98 and the rest of their limit looked like they came from the same mold.
In 2nd place, was the team of Cody Rupert and Dustin Ziesemer. They were leading Team of the Year going into this event and closed the door with authority! Their 5 largemouth and 1 smallmouth weighed 23.77. Their big fish on the day was a 4.11.
Rounding out the top 3 was James Wicht and Aiden Johnson! They had an all-brown bag weighing 22.99. Their big fish was a 4.29. This was the young team's first top 3 and I doubt their last.
Big fish of the day was caught by the team of Bob Chapin and Tanner Tetrick. It was an absolute football of a smallmouth that weighed 5.33 and anchored their 4th place bag.
As mentioned earlier, Cody Rupert and Dustin Ziesemer locked down their first Reel Team Bass Team of the Year with 144 points. They won the first the event on Minnewaska and were in contention to win all 3 events. The father and son team of Chris and Owen Swanson ended up with 137 points for 2nd place. Great season guys and Congratulations!
Reel Team Bass would like to say thanks to FXR for sponsoring the plaques again this year. They also donated clothing gift certificates which helps with the overall payout as well. Check out their clothing at Ollies Service in Alexandria. If you mention Reel Team Bass, it will be good for a 20% discount. We would also like to thank our weigh in sites - Lake Carlos State park, Big Horn Bay Cove Association and Water's Edge.
Lastly, we would like to thank Clarence and Carol Rasmussen for running one of the best team circuits in the state. The circuit wouldn't happen without all of their hard work and dedication.

Saturday, July 19th, was a record shattering day on Lake Ida! Pre-fishing reports were solid and anglers were expecting big things. Conditions set up perfectly with light winds and clouds switching to sun in the afternoon and highs in the mid 70's.

The current weight record of 23.13 for the 6 fish era of Reel Team Bass was set in 2023 by the team of Matt Gilbertson and Shawn Olson on Lake Minnewaska. It stands no longer, because 4 teams took that weight down on Saturday!

Leading the way was the team of John Wicht III and Troy Schwab. They weighed 24.01 on 6 giant Lake Ida largemouth bass. This was their 2nd win in the last 2 years, as they are our returning Le Homme Dieu Chain champions. Congratulations!

2nd place on the day was the team of Chris and Owen Swanson. They are becoming regulars in the hardware line after notching their second top 3 of the season! Their weight of 23.56 was composed of all largemouth.

Rounding out our top three was a new team to the circuit, Jeff and Cole Abbott! They found 23.52 lbs. of Lake Ida bronze backs! A great day on the water.

Big Bass for the day was 4.80 green bass caught by the team of Bill and Matt Erickson. That fish alone was good for $300 in FXR gear! Congratulations to all teams who cashed.

Team of the Year results looks like a two-horse race going into the last event of the year on the Le Homme Dieu Chain. Cody Rupert and Dustin Ziesemer hold a one-point advantage over Chris and Owen Swanson. Should they stumble, a handful of teams are grouped up to try take advantage.

What an amazing crowd that showed up to Big Horn Bay for the weigh in. We can't thank them enough for letting us use their beautiful beach to take off and weigh in. It was also great to see all the anglers and spectators wearing their FXR clothing. They are our amazing sponsor that helps with the plaques and big fish prize, along with the just out of the money prize. Please continue to support them and check out their website for all your outdoor clothing needs.

The final event of the season will be held on the Le Homme Dieu Chain on August 16th. Take off will be at rotary beach at 6:30AM and weigh in will be at 2:30PM at Carlos State Park. You will need a park pass if you plan to attend the weigh-in. Once again, we have a full field. Boat draw will be posted the Wednesday before.

Congrats to John Wicht III and Troy Schwab on their record setting day on Lake Ida! Full results and photos to come.

The first event of the 2025 season took place Saturday June 14th on Lake Minnewaska. The weather was gloomy all day with highs only reaching the low 60's with moderate East winds. Practice reports said that it was going to be a challenge to find the bigger bites, and sorting through a lot of small keepers was going to be expected.

In first place, the team of Cody Rupert and Dustin Ziesemer met the challenge head on and weighed a bag of 6 smallmouths good for 20.29 lbs. Congratulations on a great day on a very stingy Lake Minnewaska.

The team of Kent Mittelstaedt and Ethen Preston held down the 2nd spot with their 6 smallmouths that weighed 16.22 lbs. Last years champions didn't disappoint and showed they have a great understanding of Waska's brown bass.

Rounding out the top 3 was the Father and Son team of Chris and Owen Swanson. They had 4 Largemouth and 2 smallmouth that weighed 15.94 lbs. Great job guys!

Big bass for the day was a 4.06 lb. Largemouth that was caught by the Team of Dan and Robin Snider! That one bite was good for $300 in FXR Gear.

Congratulations to all our top finishers and thanks to our host site Waters Edge. We also want to thank FXR sponsoring us again this year. They are a great partner, sponsoring the plaques and supplying gift certificates for each event. Check out their website for all your clothing needs. FXR Pro Fish
