In our club we teach the importance of gratitude, family, hard work, respect, discipline, accountability, service, self-confidence and striving for personal excellence. Our program focuses on the importance of goal-setting, developing a plan of action and constant evaluation and reevaluation. Climbing, sometimes plateauing or even falling and learning how to get back up and move forward is essenti

al to growth and advancement. These are the essential skills we focus on as a club besides just wrestling. Working through adversity with a positive mindset and being grateful during the process life skill that your child will learn and ultimately embrace.

TexaSports - DFW Youth Wrestling League Season 3 Registration is Open!

AWC is aligned to the West Division with 4 other fantastic clubs.

Most of our Thursday nite matches will be in Fort Worth and Weatherford.

We will be sharing the registration link with our members via WrestlingIQ.

Who can Compete?
Rookie/Novice Boys & Girls Ages 5-14

$99 League Registration Includes
📍 6 Weeks 📅 of Thursday night wrestling with unlimited matches
📍 Wrestler Insurance for Season ⚕️
📍 Free Entry into League Combine (Skills & Agility Test)
📍 Individual & Team Scoring

‼️📢 NEW WRESTLER COMPETITION SCHEDULE IS HERE 📢‼️

AWC wrestlers will have the opportunity to compete in two leagues this season. All inside the DFW metroplex!

DFW Youth League:
▪️ 2 preseason events in October
▪️ 6 weekly matches held in December and January.
▪️ City Championship in February
▪️ Most events are in Weatherford and Fort Worth.
❤️ We LOVE this series. PERFECT for new wrestlers!

Texas USA Wrestling:
▪️ November - February season
▪️ Saturday tournaments here in DFW metroplex.
▪️ AWC will host the first tournament in December.
▪️ Two tournaments for 1st year wrestlers
👊 Wrestle kids from all over the state in this series!

Just hard enough that you have to pay attention.

Daniel Coyle writes about this in The Talent Code.

Deep practice is not just doing more reps. It is living on the edge of what you can currently do, making mistakes, noticing them, correcting them, and trying again.

That is wrestling.

A kid does not become technical because someone gave them the answer. They get better when they feel the position, struggle a little, make the correction, and start to own it.

As coaches and parents, we do not need to remove every hard thing. We need to help kids stay in the right kind of hard.

That is where confidence gets built.
That is where skill gets built.
That is where the work starts to matter.

🗣️ Straight from Coach Cardinal to our AWC families. 👊

Derrick's officially on the mat with us — 4x Minnesota state champ, NCAA D-I qualifier at South Dakota State, certified exercise physiologist and nutritional therapy practitioner.

He'll be running nutrition coaching, strength and conditioning, private and small-group lessons, match review, and mindset prep.

Come find him the first week of September. Introduce yourself, introduce your wrestler, and tell him what their biggest goals are.
