Aledo Military Arts Institute

Aledo Military Arts Institute Aledo MAI teaches the art of Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido and women's self defense. Grand Master Darrell Thompson (Wasi) is the lead instructor.

The Aledo Military Arts Institute, located at the N College Avenue YMCA has been instructing students in Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido since 1992. Classes are designed to teach self-defense, along with improving physical fitness and well being. Grand Master Thompson is a life long student of martial arts. Disciplines include Judo, Kempo, Tae Kwon Do, and Hapkido. He has been teaching in the Aledo community since 1979. For information on class times and rates, please contact the Mercer County YMCA.

I am so grateful, for my long time friend Craig Masengarb (7th Dan) for his help at the school in Aledo, Il. I am also pleased to announce we are in joint partnership running the school. Craig is an amazing martial artist and has earned several awards. It is such a pleasure to work with this young man.
