COLD PLUNGE
This was my first ever cold plunge. Cute, right?! š
If you know me, you know I am NOT a fan of cold.
I stepped my legs in. Then pulled one out like a flamingo š¦©, switched legs, and stood there for what felt like an eternity having a full-on argument with myself:
This is too cold. Get out.
You can do this.
Nope. You cannot. GET OUT.
Eventually⦠I got out. š
Then I watched almost everyone else in our group take their turn while I tried to build up the courage to try again.
And then I heard my teacher ask for MORE ICE.
Suddenly I found my courage. š¤£
I made a run for it before that fresh batch arrived, and because I was rushing, I didnāt give myself time to think. I just got in and sat down.
Not gonna lie. It was COOOOLLLD. š„¶
It was uncomfortable. It was hard.
But I was in.
And afterward, I kept thinking about that moment.
How many times do we make something harder because we stand on the edge thinking about it?
We go back and forth, finding all the reasons we shouldnāt. Or we wait, looking for that time when we feel completely ready. Waiting.
Sometimes⦠we just need to get in.
Life is full of things that challenge us, scare us and push us outside what feels comfortable. But those are often the very things that help us grow, and make life the vibrant, colorful adventure itās meant to be. ā¤ļø
Maybe for you itās finally committing to a workout. Maybe itās making a career change. Maybe itās taking the trip youāve been dreaming about.
And maybe⦠itās Costa Rica. š“
Whatever your thing is, maybe itās time to stop standing on the edge debating it.
Jump in. Claim your seat. Be ALL IN.
And if you need inspiration, swipe to the third photo and take a lesson from my friend Kyle. Apparently thatās how you cold plunge. š
If youāve been thinking about joining me in Costa Rica this January, comment ALL IN and Iāll send you the details. šš§āāļøš“
P.S. These first photos are from the cold plunge at Norte a few years ago. The third photo is the beautiful plunge they have now. Although if you really want the flamingos, Iām pretty sure we can make that happen. š¦©š
