Congrats to Softball Head Coach Jimmy Thomas for being recognized as VHSL Class 5 State Coach of the Year!

Thomas guided the Bolts to a 24-1 record before falling to state champion Matoaca on a walk-off single in the seventh inning, lifting the Warriors past Lightridge 2-1 for the Class 5 VHSL title. The Bolts hit .379 as a team, flashed the leather with a .953 fielding percentage, and were fierce in the circle with a 0.697 ERA. During Thomas’ four years at Lightridge, he has compiled a 73-21 record.

Congrats to junior Georgia Tech commit, Peyton Robinson on earning 1st Team All State honors! Peyton was Potomac District and Region 5D Player of the Year! Peyton recorded her 500th strikeout in state quarterfinal game this year. Congrats Peyton!
