As we celebrate National Physical Therapy Month this October, we would like to showcase one of the newest members of our team!

Anna Blue recently graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree in August from Shenandoah University. She received her Bachelors' Degree from Virginia Tech in 2019 where she studied Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise (HNFE). She is from Berryville, VA which is just over the mountain in Clarke County! In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym and traveling.

Last summer, Anna Blue had the privilege of being a physical therapy student at NSMI. Anna Blue decided to pursue NSMI's Sports Physical Therapy Residency because of the energetic atmosphere and wonderful people here, in addition to her having a passion for sports and working with athletes!

The mission of our physical therapy residency is to develop the post graduate physical therapist to become an integral part of a sports medicine multi-disciplinary team for the benefit of athletes at all levels of competition.

Catch Anna Blue at our Lansdowne office Mondays and Wednesday 10:30am - 7pm and in our Aldie office Tuesday and Thursdays 8am - 4:30pm.

The National Sports Medicine Institute Institute is excited to team up with Central Loudoun Youth Football League to improve your child's performance through their dedicated sports performance specialists and cutting-edge technology.

During the week of July 10th -14th, CLYFL families can go to their Lansdowne office to get a complimentary Functional Movement Screening (FMS). This test is used to assess an individual’s functional & fundamental movement patterns. It is used to highlight an individual’s potential risk of sustaining a musculoskeletal disorder.

Multiple tests are grouped to give insight on strength, endurance, mobility, and balance. Based on the results of the test, they will develop a corrective exercise program that your child can perform at home to improve strength, mobility, and proprioception.
