Last night's focus was on: 1. Form: combining a Sero with a Florette. 2. Application of a Sero cutting through [not stopping!] & not withdrawing. Seems 'easy' but very difficult. 3. Heaven 6. 4. The exact, precision intricacies of a Doble Baston Counter-Strike combo. Intense and...fun!

Finished our first week of Knife/Blade Training. Dividing the four main ARNIS cornerstones into weekly sessions has proven to be extremely successful. This will definitely be the laid out curriculum for the unforeseen future.

I have changed the school curriculum into each month divided by the four specific, cornerstones of BDSC ARNIS:

1. Suntukan - ‘Dirty Boxing’
2. Baston – Sinawali & Sumbrada
3. Hubud Lubud
4. CQC Knife Training

Each week we will ‘drill down’ for four hours on each of these training modules. This change will allow the student to immerse themselves in the specific concepts & skill lessons being taught. This will alleviate the stress of hurrying through the training with the former split-type classes.

Super powerful class last night. We went over an initial elbow striking form & a complex, brutal entry module. Weapon training included Doblette review, Forward Earth Fig. 8, Fast 12 form & #2 power striking.

Please Take The Time To Read This Important Information
Unfortunately, the chart posted below paints a severe violence problem for such a wonderful city such as ABQ, NM...my home.
There is an equal problem with a missing link in our society with [hardly ever] promoting the preparing for civilian, CQC self-defense. Unfortunately, not all martial arts systems are the same in preparing for counter-strike, counter-weapon skill building.
A large portion of society relies on others to do the dirty-work, and puts everything else ahead of the daily, personal to-do list.
OK, nobody really ever wants to acknowledge the dark side of life. The hurtful, violence that continues to plague our world.
Along with this avoidance of reality, there is ‘0’ time taken to train in a way to defend one’s self or family.
Out-of-mind must mean out-of-reality. Sorry, but no.
I believe this to be an imbalance of the current era of life. In the not so far past, the ability to defend one’s self & home was the difference between life & death.
Well...it still is.
The that will never happen to me attitude is only good...until it happens.
As a strong advocate for preparedness, peace & personal responsibility I am doing my part to back these words.
I constantly promote & offer my 47 years of knowledge in my Free! Black Dragon Modern Arnis Self-Defense Lessons based on The Rare & Advanced Science Of Filipino Martial Arts.
I’m also offering Free! Public Safety Awareness Discussion & Self-Defense Lessons Lectures. If you’d like me to come to your business, organization or church, please contact me immediately.
I will continue shedding my personal passion & light in bringing a counter-balance to the avoidance of this, unfortunate darker side of life.
I’m not saying to stop lifting weights, eat chili topped pizzas, or go out and have a good time!
