The Yoga of Food & Body Respect
An introductory workshop for anyone who has struggled with food or feeling at odds with their body.
Using the framework of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, this lecture introduces a unique integration of yoga therapy and intuitive eating. Together, we’ll explore practical tools that support a shift from control to care—rebuilding trust in the body, reducing anxiety around food, and learning to listen more closely to internal cues for nourishment and movement.
This is not about fixing your eating.
It’s about changing your relationship to your body.
Open to all. No prior experience needed.

Aimee is the owner and primary teacher at Community Yoga Club, home of Ashtanga Yoga Long Beach, where she leads a daily Mysore-style program and offers individual yoga therapy with a focus on healing one’s relationship to food and body.
With decades of study, she is an SYC/KPJAYI Authorized Level 2 Ashtanga teacher, trained Yoga Therapist, and educator in Yoga Sūtra and Vedic chanting. Her work is also informed by training in massage therapy, nutrition coaching, and weight-neutral recovery. She is the creator of Yoga of Food & Body Respect, and—just to round it out—sings in the dance-rock band the START.
