WEATHERFORD, Texas โ Theorem Ranch is introducing the Theorem Ranch Incentive, offering up to $2.79 million in performance bonuses across cutting, reined cow horse, reining, team roping and breakaway in 2027.
The incentive also includes $100,000 in guaranteed payouts for the Riata Championships. Every incentive payment will reward the horseโs breeder, owner and rider in an effort to recognize the people who invested in the horse long before it became a champion.

The program is led by a $500,000 bonus for an eligible Theorem-sired horse that wins the 2027 NCHA Open Futurity. Eligible Open champions at the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity and the NRHA Futurity Level 4 Open can each earn a $350,000 bonus. Separate $125,000 bonuses are available in designated team roping and breakaway futurity classes.
The Theorem Ranch Incentive bonuses are paid only if an eligible Theorem-sired horse wins or places second through fifth overall in the finals of a designated class, against the entire field. If no eligible Theorem-sired horse finishes in the top five, no bonus is paid in that class. Owning or riding a Theorem-sired horse does not earn a bonus by itself.
These bonuses are paid in addition to the eventsโ regular prize money. Separately, the program offers $100,000 in guaranteed payouts tied to earnings at the 2027 Riata Championships.
The incentiveโs breadth reflects Theorem Ranchโs stallion program, led by Stevie Rey Von alongside Pepinstep, Outta Yur League and SEVs Judgement Day .
Stevie Rey Vonโs offspring have surpassed $30 million in earnings, demonstrating their ability to succeed in cutting, reined cow horse and all roping disciplines. Theoremโs roster brings together bloodlines and athletes suited to a broad range of Western performance events.

One-third of every Theorem Ranch Incentive payout goes to the horseโs breeder. The remaining two-thirds goes to the owner, who may share that amount with the trainer or rider under their own private agreement.
The breederโs share recognizes the role that big and small breeding operations play in producing champion horses. Many breeders continue following their horses through changes in ownership and training, even when they no longer share in the horseโs winnings.
โA horseโs journey starts with the breeder,โ Kisha Itkin said. โThe family who waited for that foal and raised it through weaning usually keeps cheering for that horse for the rest of its career. We want these breeders to share in the horseโs success when it does something extraordinary.โ
2027 futurity bonus schedule
Placings are overall, against the entire field in the finals. An eligible Theorem-sired horse must finish in the top five of the designated class to earn the corresponding bonus. If none does, no bonus is paid in that class.
Heading and heeling are paid separately, with the qualifying champion head horse and champion heel horse each eligible for the full $125,000 bonus.
Theorem Ranch Incentive bonuses are paid in addition to each event's regular prize money.
At the 2027 NCHA Open Futurity, an eligible Theorem-sired horse earns $500,000 for winning, $150,000 for second, $120,000 for third, $100,000 for fourth and $75,000 for fifth.
At the 2027 NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity Open and the 2027 NRHA Futurity Level 4 Open, each pays $350,000 to the champion, $75,000 for second, $50,000 for third, $35,000 for fourth and $25,000 for fifth.
At the 2027 Gold Buckle Futurities World Finals, the 4 & Under Heading, the 4 & Under Heeling and the 4 & Under Breakaway each pay their own full schedule: $125,000 to the champion, $40,000 for second, $25,000 for third, $20,000 for fourth and $15,000 for fifth. Heading and heeling pay separately, so the champion head horse and the champion heel horse can each earn $125,000. All placings are overall, against the entire field in the finals.

Theorem Ranch will also award $100,000 to the three qualifying Theorem-sired horses with the highest earnings at the 2027 Riata Championships: $50,000 to the leader, $30,000 to second and $20,000 to third. This money will be paid in full, and it is the only part of the program measured against other Theorem-sired horses.
Recreational ropers make up the largest group of competitors in Western performance. This portion of the program extends the incentive beyond the major futurities to the ropers who support Western performance through their ongoing participation. The same two-thirds owner and one-third breeder split applies.

Each paid 2027 breeding to a Theorem Ranch stallion โ fresh, frozen or ICSI โ qualifies one horse sired by any of the ranchโs five stallions. The competing horse does not have to be sired by the stallion named in the breeding contract.
For example, a breeder purchasing a 2027 breeding to Outta Yur League may use that contract to qualify a Stevie Rey Von offspring competing at the 2027 NCHA Futurity.
Horses must be registered with Theorem Ranch at least 30 days before the designated event begins. Riata participants must hold a current Riata nomination, and the horseโs owner or rider must have purchased a qualifying 2027 Theorem Ranch breeding. Payees are designated at registration.
