As we approach the end of the year, I need to boast on the men of F3 ABQ for all the ways they have given back to their community in 2025. F3 is more than a men's workout group; we're training men to become better leaders, and how better to build those leadership muscles than by tackling tough challenges in our community.
• F3 ABQ participated in the American Lung Association's Fight for Air Stair Climb at the Clyde Hotel. This fundraiser for the American Lung Association supports their mission to "save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease."
• F3 ABQ, in conjunction with our GORUCK club, participated in an annual Rucksgiving challenge and gathered non-perishable food items for Roadrunner Food Bank. At each of four rucking AOs, PAX loaded their rucks with food donations, carried them more than 3 miles, and ultimately donated 202 pounds of food to help Roadrunner in their mission to provide nourishing food to New Mexicans through vibrant community partnerships and passionate public and private support.
• F3 ABQ participated in Wreaths Across America Day at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque, while also serving as a sponsorship group for that location. PAX and their families laid wreaths at the graves of veterans, supporting Wreaths Across America's mission: "Remember the fallen. Honor those who serve. Teach the next generation the value of freedom."
• F3 ABQ played shadow host to the Travis Manion Foundation's 9/11 Heroes Run/Ruck in Albuquerque. Teaming up with our friends at Team Bravo and BFit505, this 5k ruck raised funds to help the foundation empower veterans and families of the fallen to strengthen our nation's character.
• For the third year in a row, F3 ABQ volunteered at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta merchandise tents. Funds raised at this event supported Feed NM Kids in their mission to eradicate childhood hunger in New Mexico.
• PAX from F3 ABQ participated in the Krampus Ruck Challenge, organized by QCRC and Cincinnati RWB (and others joined in for the associated WOD). In addition to a great fitness challenge, this event also supported the Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank, a program of COVERD Greater Cincinnati.
