I wonder if this works for Zumba too?!? 🧐
A Canadian dairy brand just turned a viral TikTok trend into an actual running vest.
Lactantia has launched what it calls The Ultimate Butter Churning Vest, designed to turn heavy cream into fresh butter using nothing but the up and down motion of your run.
It started in February when creator Libby Claire poured cream into a Ziploc bag, tucked it into her vest, and finished a 10K with butter. The video racked up 13.8 million views and the "churn and burn" trend exploded.
Lactantia's version swaps the leaky sandwich bag for a proper system. A BPA free, food grade container sits in the front chest pocket with a spill proof seal and a kinetic ball to speed up the churning. Thermal insulation and active cooling keep the cream food safe while you run.
There are even dedicated pockets for a butter knife and a slice of bread, so you can sample your work mid run.
The brand is giving the vests away to Canadians while quantities last.
⚠️ The safety rules attached are real, not a joke. Lactantia says cream should not sit unrefrigerated for more than two hours, or one hour if it's above 20°C. Churning runs should be capped at 90 minutes. And if it's hotter than 30°C, skip the run entirely. Use pasteurized or UHT cream only, kept chilled until the moment you head out.
A hydration vest doing the job of a kitchen mixer might be the strangest crossover the running world has seen in a while.
