Albia Chamber Main Street is looking for a motivated, community‑minded individual to join our team as a Seasonal Office & Events Assistant!
This role supports the Executive Director with events, volunteer coordination, marketing, and daily office operations. It’s a great opportunity for someone who loves people, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and wants to make a positive impact in our community.
What We’re Looking For:
✨ Outstanding customer service and a positive, enthusiastic attitude
✨ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✨ Strong communication skills — in person, on the phone, and in writing
✨ Proficiency with Google Workspace + Canva
✨ Solid organizational and time‑management skills
✨ Comfort working with volunteers and community members
✨ Ability to juggle multiple projects and handle interruptions
✨ Reliability, initiative, and professionalism
Position Details:
• Approximately 500 hours per year
• Flexible schedule — some nights & weekends required for events
• Ideal for students or anyone with seasonal availability
• Summer is the busiest season (Rodeo 5/30, Cruzin' Albia 6/25-27, Golf Outing 7/10, Restoration Days 8/24-29)
• Responsibilities include event support, volunteer coordination, marketing content creation, office upkeep, and more
