5 keys to a proper deadlift 💪

1. Set feet.
2. Brace core, create tension in hamstrings/glutes.
3. Big breath.
4. Reach down, grab bar/ set grip.
5. Pull up on the bar while simultaneously pushing the floor away with your legs to lockout 🔒

As someone who has never deadlifted less than 500 in competition I felt like I’d share a few tips I think are useful. Hope they can help you out on your next deadlift day.

“Specialty” bars are useful in training due to the fact they can increase ROM, or change hand placement /starting positions in major compound lifts (I.E Bench,squat,deadlifts) to elicit a stimulus you couldn’t get with your Standard Barbell.

Easy 495x1 sumo deadlift👌 Honestly believe wide stance sumo deadlifts are gonna be key to hitting high numbers at my height and weight.
