That’s a wrap on the Smoke’s 2024 season.

We ended it with trophies, rings, and the girls putting a whoopin’ on their mommas in our annual mommas vs. daughters softball game with a final score of 4-3 (a walk off win).

It’s a wet one in Anniston!

Dropped our second game to West Alabama Elite, 9-2.

First bracket game was against the number one seed (Alabama Fire). We were winning 8-3 going into the last inning with time expired. All we needed was three outs to go to the gold bracket championship. The Fire put together a great inning and came back to beat us 9-8. It was an absolute heartbreaker.

Tough day on the diamond for the smoke, going 0-3 on the day.

This was the first time the 5 Star Smoke has entered a “B” class tournament and I’m very proud of how our girls battled. We were competitive, had a lot of good plays, and identified what we need to work on.

We will regroup and bounce back! If you’re not challenging your team, you’re not getting better or building champions
