WHERE IS SONDERGAARD PARK? This somewhat hidden gem is at the end of 17th Street off Margaretha Avenue.

The park is named after Carl Sondergaard who developed the area in the 1950s for people who worked in the Jobs Industrial Park.

In addition to designing the neighborhood, he donated the land for the park.
The park continues to offer a place to unwind with a ballfield, basketball court, playground and ample greenspace.

The Recreation Department offers free supervised activities for grade-schoolers at the park Monday -Thursday, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Stop in today to play!
