2026 deer season with Next Level Guide Service in NE Oregon is wrapped up for the year. THANK YOU to my amazing customers that continue to support this adventure & creating life long memories along the way. Harvesting was beyond epic for some high quality bucks on both properties. Without the support of my loyal customers, friends & family this opportunity would not be possible. I’m surrounded & supported by many great people. I’m Beyond thankful for this opportunity. Yep, I actually got a day off & harvested a deer. A few days off to get things cleaned up & organized then it’s anterless whitetail hunt time. Enjoy the pictures & may you all be well. Detroit Lake Kokanee July fishing wrapped up today… the past 2+ weeks at at Detroit has been nothing short of epic & some of best Kokanee fishing I’ve witnessed over the years. Quick limits & BIG kokes were definitely the highlight.
The biggest Kokanee was at 18” which was caught by a future fish slayer. The down side was there were more smaller fish & a smaller grade of this years fish. We bagged many in the 14-16” range. TELL ALL… what was the hot stuff?? Poulsen Cascade - Arrow Flash dodgers & Spinners (see picture). Rainy Day Lures by Ernie Hopkins specifically the tube flies. The last lure used?? Well if you fished with me you are in the loop. No sharing on this one 😂😂. I only used 3 set ups the entire time no need to change anything. RED hot & productive. Like always Santiam Fishing Rods no question put in the tough work!! THANK YOU to my amazing customers & for supporting this journey. It’s always a pleasure to have new & returning customers on the Next Level Boat. I will be taking a break then time to gear up for fall hunting. Ok, I just might go catch a few fish for myself aka practice fishing.

It’s way bigger than the fishing & taking big fish pictures. It’s all about friendships, relationships & bringing people together. What you don’t always see is the fun, excitement & memories made. To my Customers, Friends, Family & Partners THANK YOU! This journey could not be possible without an army of supporters. My guide business model is different than most based on relationships always first & business always second. Bringing people together and sharing the beautiful Wallowa County & World class Kokanee fishery is simply very special. Always support local businesses without them the journey wouldn’t be as special. Every day is always GREAT just some days are better than others. Be Kind, Be Nice & Be helpful. Next Level is beyond thankful & very appreciative for your support. Another amazing year at Wallowa Lake!!

Wallowa Lake Kokanee 2026 has come to a close for this year… THANK YOU! I’m beyond thankful for the amazing customers that made this journey happen. The fishing was beyond epic at times & occasionally a challenging day thrown in. BIG Kokes this year was the theme. 6lbs x 24.5” was the best. Lots of Kokes over 20” & several breaking 4-5lbs. Next Level fishing 33 straight days on the water is nothing I’ve done before. It’s time for a vacation!! Thank you to local businesses for hosting us for meals: Stubborn Mule … La Laguna.. Embers Brew House. The VERY best restaurants anywhere in the PNW. My best fishing buddy Curtis Hyde - HydeOut Guide Service THANK YOU my friend.. lots information & counseling services along the way. Yep, one hell of a fishing team. What was used on the Next Level Boat? Santiam Fishing Rods… Poulsen Cascade Arrow Flash… Rainy Day Lures, Fisherman Shack. The very best equipment & tackle. Enjoy the pictures. Until next year for more Kokanee action at Wallowa Lake with Next Level Guide Service.
