Mark Mirasol has 15+ years of experience as a playful professional, teaching and facilitating athletic and recreational activities (ranging from archery to zorbing) in a diverse range of educational settings and roles. Having worked with AmeriCorps programs in high-need schools in Boston, MA and Washington, DC as well as various summer camps, he has witnessed first-hand the power of play. He has a B.A. in English and Government & Legal Studies from Bowdoin College and an M.Ed. in Independent School Leadership from the Peabody College of Vanderbilt University. Along with being a passionate axe thrower, Mark is also an avid tennis player, ukulele enthusiast, theatre geek, and sports nut. At The Lazy Axe, Mark is the Axemaster, managing the day-to-day activities of the facility.
Kristyn Muller is currently the Impact Analyst for SUNY Online, the online learning support and strategy unit for the State University of New York (SUNY) System Administration. She has extensive experience in community building, staff training, and event planning through her various roles in higher education. Her skill set includes strategic planning, project management, organization, and communication. Kristyn has a B.A. in Psychology and Interpersonal Communication from SUNY New Paltz and both an M.S. in Educational Administration and Policy Studies and a Ph.D. in Educational Policy and Leadership from the University at Albany, where she teaches undergraduate education courses. Kristyn is also a certified hula hoop fitness instructor. She enjoys working with others to improve their skills and find success in their endeavors. Kristyn manages the administrative responsibilities for The Lazy Axe.
