CrossFit begins with a belief in fitness. The aim of CrossFit is to forge a broad, general and inclusive fitness. We have sought to build a program that will best prepare trainees for any physical contingency — not only for the unknown, but for the unknowable. After looking at all sport and physical tasks collectively, we asked what physical skills and adaptations would most universally lend thems

elves to performance advantage. Capacity culled from the intersection of all sports demands would quite logically lend itself well to all sport. In sum, our specialty is not specializing. Primarily, it’s a fitness regimen developed by Coach Greg Glassman over several decades. He was the first person in history to define fitness in a meaningful, measurable way (increased work capacity across broad time and modal domains). CrossFit itself is defined as that which optimizes fitness (constantly varied functional movements performed at relatively high intensity). CrossFit is also the community that spontaneously arises when people do these workouts together. In fact, the communal aspect of CrossFit is a key component of why it’s so effective. CVFM @ HI + Communal Environment = Health

A regimen of constantly varied (CV), functional movements (FM) performed at high intensity () in a communal environment leads to health and fitness.

We are pleased to announce we will be hosting the Masters tour regional event again this year on September 23rd. Masters tour is a year long competition hosted here and at boxes worldwide with one National Leader board! Compare yourself to your peers around the world. RX and Scaled divisions in 5 year increments beginning at age 30 and going all the way up to 70+ for men and women. The top of the national leader board will join together to face off for the MASTER OF THE MASTERS 2023 TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP in early 2024

A huge shout out goes to everyone that competed in the CrossFit open. There were many firsts and pr's. Congrats to Randy Carr and Kerry Hall for qualifying for the 1/4 finals as well. We also have to give a huge shout out to Nancy French who competed in the 65+ ladies division where she barely missed the top 10. Hopefully will wake up and get that 70+ division up and running soon. Heads up!! Race capped BUT... we had included some of the virtual participants. What does that mean? There are 7 spots left for the onsite race. ONLY 7! Registration is open until they fill or 11:59 pm Wednesday night(no way we make it to there). I expect these to fill TODAY!
First 7 folks get them. Period.
