DAY 9- APRIL 23rd -Buti Core Value: One can only be as spiritual as they are GROUNDED. What routines or structures are keeping you grounded right now?
I can really get stuck in my own head and elevate from the Earth.
I noticed in the beginning of my 200 hour training I would skip grounding poses unintentionally but almost every time in self lead practice. It’s not that I didn’t need to get grounded, it’s that I need to be ground so badly that I forgot to get grounded. I can up in the clouds often forgetting to plant myself into the earth that God created in all ways. Parenting, work, volunteering, etc tends lead me to this position. Thankful for being given the tools to notice without shame. Now, I choose to do grounding work on my mat, in my morning ritual and mid day. So, triangle, Front facing reverse Namaste forward fold, hitting my knees in the morning for prayer, meditating in the morning and afternoon and general movement keep me grounded. Also, calling my big sister is grounding. I desire to meditate more as I feel resistant to it and that’s a huge indicator of work to be done. I desire to get out of my own head sometimes. Being there all the time is of no service to anyone... esp yours truly.
