Day three is complete!
Today we focused on Swim Psychology & Visualization and Breaststroke!
We started off the day learning about how to mentally prepare ourselves for practice and meets using mediation and breathing techniques both in and out of the water. We dug even deeper into this by using the method of "Race Visualization." We talked about every tiny detail from crazy warmup pools to goggle malfunctions. We imagined what we want to happen, what we don't want to happen, and how to problem solve in our races.
Entering the water- the main focus was breaststroke. We used skills such as sculling to help get a feel for the water, kicked on our back and stomach to help improve our kick, and put it all together at the end with a crash course in proper pulling. We wrapped up the day with some videotaping, a USRPT set, and game!
