Had a little visitor up at high camp this year. Left his calling card on the side of the tent. Funny thing, he opened up a bag of dehydrated chili and got a mouth full of and then sprayed it out like he didn’t like it and then left.

Josh with his AWESOME bull!! Man what a fun stalk/hunt this was. Sneaking thru the dark timber above a steep ravine all whilst a big herd of elk are passing back and forth all around when suddenly this big toad knelt down to get a drink 19 yards from Josh. Arrow flew and elk busted off but after some good tracking and hunting instincts we found him. Congrats Josh.

Rick with his first elk. Congratulations on a nice bull and with a bow too! It was a fun stalk sneaking up to this elk feeding in a crick bottom and hoofing it from tree to tree to try to get close enough for a shot. He let er’ fly right before dark and followed a good blood trail for about 80 yards, let him sit overnight and came back first thing in the morning and he didn’t go too far. Fun hunt!

What a heck of a year we had!! Everyone filled out early on every week. We made lots of good memories and new friends. Had some incredible hunts. Thanks to all the people that worked together to make it all happen. Like always I couldn’t do it without a tremendous crew of guides and cook. Many pictures and short stories to come…
