Well, I was totally shocked when I was told that I got the Old Salt Award for being the oldest one (at 73) to finish Pecos this year. Pecos is my favorite run and gun and was my first back in 2011. I really liked this year's event...even the three low crawls. And I do like the increased distance. Great people, great event. Smokey and his crew did an outstanding job, as always. Pecos, to me, is the epitome of what a run and gun event should be. The left photo is at the finish line after almost 7.5 miles. The right photo is after I had cleaned up a bit.

Starting to get ready to train for the Pecos Run and Gun event in September. I'm not real serious yet but I want to stay in shape so I'm hiking on a regular basis. Lost 15 pounds and feel better. Here's a photo from a hike last week in Dry Canyon.

Finishing the WesTex Run and Gun on Feb 6. This is a great event that is a test of your fitness and shooting skills. Over 5 miles of rocky roads and horse trails in the mountains near Ft Davis, TX. Many thanks to the Prude Ranch who put on another great event. I'll be back next year.
