“Played a great weekday midday round on the North Course, and the pace of play was excellent. The course is beautifully maintained and in top-notch condition. The fairway turf is a different kind of grass compared to most Bay Area courses—it has a distinct golden-yellow look rather than the usual lush green, and it’s cut very short so the ball runs out forever. However, keep in mind that although this is a links-style course, danger still lurks if you stray too far off line; your ball can easily get lost in the water hazards or the thick, long rough. When approaching the greens, it’s best not to over-club. Some of the bunkers are pretty deep and will definitely test your sand game. While many of the greens are massive and easy to hit in regulation, they roll true and fast. The undulating surfaces will really put your green-reading skills to the test.”

Not at Corica this time—but definitely worth checking out!

We’re excited to support our friend and events partner and the team behind the Cooper Teare Classic, featuring the Alameda 10 Miler, 8K, and—new this year—a Kid’s Run! The event takes place at Crown Memorial Beach in Alameda on Saturday, August 8, 2026.

Whether you’re gearing up for fall races, looking to jump-start your back-to-school routine, or simply want to challenge yourself alongside friends, this event has something for everyone. Expect a fast, competitive course, high-fives from Cooper Teare, great sponsors and prizes, and plenty of fun for runners of all ages.
