This Saturday, the Cade Museum for Creativity and Invention Inventivity Pop-Up is coming to Good Life Thrive Station in Downtown Alachua, giving kids ages 7–11 a chance to learn, experiment and have some hands-on fun! 🧮

Plus, the Rising Stars Classic JV Volleyball Tournament will be taking place at Legacy Park that same morning. 🏐🙌 Stop by both and make a morning of supporting and experiencing our growing youth activities throughout Alachua!

Kids ages 7–11 will explore the topic of Forces — diving into Isaac Newton's 3 Laws of Motion through exciting experiments with pushes, pulls, inertia, and friction. It's learning that feels like play! ⚡

🏡 A true local pioneer in the world of Parks and Recreation throughout Alachua County and our surrounding sister counties and cities 💖, Hal and Cindy Brady made special appearances at two of our community events this past week - our Senior Bingo activity and our monthly Chamber of Commerce meeting.

Hal and Cindy will forever be treasured in our community for their unwavering dedication to making the Good Life Community a better place for everyone. Their philosophy was simple: "What's best for our residents and volunteers?" That commitment to service, people and community continues to leave a lasting legacy.

Thank you, Hal and Cindy, for your continuous dedication, leadership and love for our community. Your impact reaches far beyond the programs and activities you helped build - it lives on in the people and communities you have touched along the way.

The City of Alachua Recreation & Culture Department hosts a variety of activities and programs designed to keep our seniors active, engaged and connected. In partnership with Crafty Gemini Youth Development, Inc., we're proud to offer several fun and enriching Senior Citizen activities right here in Alachua!

🍽️ Congregate meals are served Monday through Friday in Room 2 at the Legacy Park Multipurpose Center.
