The Alabama State Tournament came to a close Saturday. After battling the way into the semifinals Saturday, we suffered a heart breaking last batter loss to Hoover that would have sent us to the championship game.

The season wrapped up with a loss to a Moody team that just played outstanding.

The girls finished up in 3rd place out of 24 teams competing for the title.

We are so very proud of what they accomplished. We had a great group of girls. They competed at an extremely high level. They listened, learned, and became better players and better little people. We also had a lot of fun. That's the end goal. While we would have loved to have won the title, the girls walked away with a lot of medals and trophies and their heads up.

Last night was another great night. The girls kept the streak alive with a solid win against Pell City. They stayed in the winner's bracket. This is going to be a long, hot day for the girls. We could play anywhere between 2 and 4 games.

Join us in spirit or in person as we battle on our last day of the season for a coveted state championship.

Win or Lose today, we have an amazing bunch of girls that have grown up so much in only a few weeks. There will cheers, but no tears today. We are already winners.

The Alabama State tournament got kicked off tonight with a bang. The Lady Warriors opened up the tournament 2-0 with wins over Clanton and Hueytown. A win in the 2:00 game tomorrow will put us in the semifinals.

Another fantastic day of Warrior softball. After losing in the opening matchup this morning, the ladies battled their way out of the loser's bracket with an extra inning win against a really talented Moody team to earn a shot at the area tournament championship. We had to beat Hoover twice to win it all. The girls took care of business in the first game only to fall a few runs short in the championship.

We are so proud of what the ladies have accomplished...Four consecutive games over 8 hours in the blistering heat earned the girls some nice hardware and another second play finish. We are well positioned to finish strong in the State tournament next weekend.

Another big night for the Warriors. Final Score, Alabaster 19, Oak Mountain 13. We will be playing Hoover Elite tomorrow morning at 11:15. A win puts us in the championship game.

The ladies are playing championship ball right now. If you are keeping count, that's 7 wins in the last 8 games.

The Area Tournament started up last night with a bang. Our lady Warriors earned a #2 seed in the area, receiving the opening round bye. Playing in the late game, we beat a good Trussville team to advance one step closer to another championship game appearance.

We play our second game in a double elimination format tonight against Oak Mountain at 8:30 at the Homewood Sports Complex.

Saturday tournament games start at 10:00 am. Our time slot will be 10:00 or 11:15 dependent on the outcome of tonight's game.

We are so proud of these girls. We have been working really hard in practice, and it all came together this weekend. These incredible girls put together 5 straight wins in a 10 team field to advance to the tournament championship game. We lost to a Hoover team in the final game that was simply playing really great ball, but we couldn't be more pleased with this group.

Back to work tonight. Let's keep it going. The area tournament starts this Thursday, June 16.

Pool games are done for us. Our first tournament game will begin at 1:45 or 3:00 tomorrow at the Helena Sports Complex.

It was a great night in Helena tonight. The girls really put two great games together.

Alabaster 18, Trussville 12
Alabaster 9, Springville 8.

We close out pool play with Helena tomorrow night at 6:00 pm.

After a hard fought Week 1, the Warriors return to action tonight with a 6:00 game versus Trussville and a late 8:30 matchup against Springville.

Friday we will face our good friends in Helena at 6:00.

Bracket games start Saturday. Times are TBD.

All games are at the Helena Sports Complex. Tickets are $10.
12 and under get in free.

Alabaster is 1-0 with a 12-4 win against the Hoover Heat. Cheer us on against Oak Mountain and the Hoover Elite team tomorrow morning.
