The forecast is showing less than 0.05” of rain for the entire day, with only a slight chance of a brief shower late in the afternoon. That means plenty of time to get out on the water and enjoy a relaxing float with family and friends!

🌧️ River & Weather Update – Sunday, June 14

The weather just can’t seem to make up its mind lately. Unfortunately, the rain just keeps hanging around.

With thunderstorms expected this morning and again this afternoon, along with river levels still running slightly elevated, we’ve made the decision to remain closed today.

We know many of you were hoping to get out on the water, and we were too, but safety always comes first. We’ll continue to monitor conditions and look forward to getting everyone back on the river as soon as things settle down.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. Here’s hoping Mother Nature gives us a break and some sunshine soon! ☀️🚣‍♂️

🌊 River Update for Tomorrow 🌊

Good news! We will be running boats tomorrow.

✅ McMullen Cove Trip Only
🚣 Approximately 5 miles of beautiful Flint River paddling
⏰ Boats begin going in at 9:00 AM
we will take walk-ins as space allows.

Please remember river conditions can change, so follow all staff instructions and wear your life jacket at all times.

River Update – Open Today

We worked hard yesterday and were able to clear a channel on the right side of the large river obstruction. The route is passable, but there is still debris remaining that we will remove once water levels drop further.

We are OPEN today, but due to current river conditions:

⚠️ No children
⚠️ No pets
⚠️ Experienced paddlers only

The river is still moving faster than normal, and safety remains our top priority.

On the bright side, we only lost one chainsaw blade and completely wore another one out getting that path opened up! 💪🌳🪚

If you’re planning to float today, use caution in the cleared area and follow all staff instructions.
