February is American Heart Health Month!

This month helps bring awareness to doing our best to eradicate heart disease and stroke.

How can we do this? Simple, really!

In this day and age, many of us are sitting all day during work and then going home to sit and watch tv all night. Sitting is the new smoking! Take care of your heart by making sure to get and move throughout the day. I know it can be tough, but you can do it! Ways to keep up throughout the day are to wear fitness trackers to monitor your steps, setting alarms every hour of the day to get up and move, and even having standup desks or small workout equipment in your office available to use. The biggest thing is to make sure your heart rate reaches your cardio workout levels to make sure not only you, but your heart is getting a great workout too!
