Got the ol flat bottom fixed where a factory weld split. Also got it repainted and new stickers on it. Hopefully I can get it on the water this week after work.

Managed to get out early this morning and fish deer creek reservoir.

The crappie are starting to slowly move back out of the deep water with the cooler weather we’ve been having. Most of the fish came from 5–8 feet of water, using a slow retrieve and keeping the jig close to the bottom.

🔥 What was working:

* 🟢 Chartreuse 1/8 oz jig head + 2” Paddle Tail in Black Hole
* ⚪ White 1/8 oz jig head + 2” Paddle Tail in Galaxy Stars
* ⚪ White 1/8 oz jig head + 2” Paddle Tail in Concord

Also managed to land a nice bass that I’d estimate at around 2–2.5 lbs. No scale today, so that’s just my best guess!

The cooler temperatures definitely seem to be getting those crappie moving. Slow and steady was the key this morning—keep it near the bottom and don’t rush the retrieve!

Glow floating jigheads on the drying rack overnight. If anyone is in need of floaters for the the 2027 walleye run please reach out all floaters are .50 cents a piece. We do offer a smaller size which is in a 1/8 oz jig size for .40 cents a jig. All jig colors are uv coated except glow colors.

Got out this morning with a friend. We manage a few crappie and a small flathead. Top colors for me today was chartreuse jighead head 1/8 oz with brown recluse split tail and 1/8 oz June bug jighead and 2” galaxy stars paddle tails. Ken Mullenax
