It's been said "Golf is a game of a lifetime", and the golf business has been my life, with over 30+ years of experience as a player, instructor and PGA Professional.
I was raised in Lancaster, NY and the Lancaster Country Club was my backyard. I worked my way up the ladder while going through the original PGA of America Apprenticeship Program which placed a great deal of emphasis on real "hands-on" teaching experience. Ultimately I reached my goal of becoming a PGA member.
Over the years I was privileged to work with some of the best golf instructors in the Buffalo and Rochester, NY areas. These experiences allowed me to build my own style of teaching, while incorporating many great tips and swing drills that I picked up along the way. I also developed a keen ability to identify faults and recommend fixes while analyzing a players' golf swing.
During our lessons the first step will be to identify your swing tendencies. Next, I will help you to develop a step-by-step pre-shot routine. While developing this routine, we'll pay close attention to your grip, stance, posture and alignment. As you develop a consistent pre-shot routine you'll find that your ability to strike a ball consistently will improve greatly. When we finish our lessons, you'll be given drills to utilize during your practice sessions. I do not believe in teaching a "one size fits all " approach: your lesson will always be is personalized. For the more experienced player I utilize video V1 swing analysis. I promise to keep things simple, easy to understand and more importantly, we'll have fun!
Junior golf has also been a passion of mine as Director of Junior Golf for Amherst/Audubon from 2002-2014 while leading PGA award-winning programs. I also have extensive experience in golf club fitting and sales. My previous experience from 2000-2914 at Dick's Sporting Goods recognized as a certified fitting professional for Taylor Made, Titleist, Ping and Mizuno golf equipment.
