McGhees' Mile McGhees' Mile is a family owned and operated Standardbred training facility located in the heart of Aiken, SC. Visitor must call for an appointment.

McGhees' Mile is a standarbred training center that provides the finest service, amenities and location south of the Mason-Dixon Line. We're a family owned and operated track. Our 77-acre facility has everything you need to optimize your standardbred training experience. McGhees' Mile is home to three racetracks:

- a one-mile red clay track
- a half-mile red clay track
- and a 7/8 mile sand track

. All three are groomed regularly and kept in tiptop shape. They have to be. We dont just run the track. We train our own standardbred horses here, too. McGhees Mile has over 250 stalls, plenty of paddocks and ample barn space. We also have living quarters on-site for our extended guests. And you can stay as long as you want. With average winter temperatures between 48 and 70 degrees, and annual precipitation about 36 inches, this truly is a year-round training facility.
