Pine Top Penny Belline owned by Janet and Glenn Wilson has had a great season as well! She slopped through the mud at chatt hills a few weeks ago, and then made her prelim debut last weekend at FENCE! Just added a little time to finish second place. She has been such a star and slowly putting all the different pieces together and getting her more rideable, she is just so game for anything!

Penny is fueled by and is looking and feeling great on Sport 14! She also loves the comfort max to keep her tummy settled when she’s been working and traveling so much!

I know I’m slow to update! 😬 Here’s a spring season update for Good Gravy owned by Sara Irvine! After a successful run at Pine Top intermediate in February we headed to Bouckaert for the 3*S.
While I had what I thought was one of my best rides, we had 6 (!) rails in show jumping. So we rerouted for Carolina in the intermediate.
This was a huge course! Which was why it wasn’t plan A, but I had a really great trip where gravy and I grew up a lot! And he did most of the course without a shoe. A silly blip shortly after losing said shoe, and a big jump into the water with a peck and me almost falling off in the water, made a less than ideal picture on paper but he was really fantastic and attacked the course like the machine he is.
Next up was stable view where we probably should have done the 3* but cruised around the intermediate clear with some time! Next up will be Virginia 3*! So thankful to have a wonderful horse and be back competing at this level! I’ll try to update more often instead of leaving novels 🤣🤷‍♀️

☀️Pro Tip☀️
Having tummy trouble with a horse? Here’s a cost efficient and effective treatment!
Banks Mill Feeds is now offering Max Comfort, a product made with alfalfa, chia seeds, and slippery elm to support your horses digestion! Very palatable, freshly made, and doesn’t break the bank! Add some buffered omeprazole powder, and if you need a little bit to cover up the powder add some of their mash (similar to replinamash) and you have an effective and easy treatment for ulcers. Give an hour before breakfast or I usually give mine at lunch, just not with a full meal.

Happy riding!

Finally getting a moment to talk about Banks Mill Feed! With the rising prices of everything horse related, every dollar counts. I have fed purina ultium competition for a few years now, but was really struggling with the cost without jeopardizing quality. I have found a solution with the Sport 14 feed by Banks Mill! Easily digestible, bio available ingredients that don’t have the major preservatives as the feed is made fresh and locally! The horses love it and they have lots of other products including a mash, an electrolyte with protein to help muscles recover, and lots of other products. If you’re interested I have coupons for a free bag to test it out!

A little extra love to the best boy Good Gravy! It’s been a long time since I’ve gotten to jump this hammock and he made it feel so easy! I was a little worried about his fitness with the weather and having missed some rides but he came off the course feeling fresh as a daisy! You have to love a good TB! Very excited for the spring season and so thankful to Sara Irvine for sharing this beautiful horse with me!

We had a great go at Pine Top this last weekend! Good Gravy owned by Sara Irvine had a successful trip around another intermediate, still some fine tuning to do on show jumping but getting better all the time! Pine Top Penny Belline put in a good test and show jumping round, and we were having a great go cross country until I rode her like she’s more experienced than she is at the drop into water. The rest of the questions she answered like a pro and Gained a lot of experience! She is owned by Pine Top’s wonderful owners Janet and Glenn Wilson who put on such a great event!
Thank you for powering the horses and for the beautiful equipment!

This has possibly been the coldest winter in Aiken that I can remember! One of the things that I use to keep the horses happy and warm is hot mashes from Banks Mill Feed! Added to my normal feed and soaking with alfalfa cubes and beet pulp it is a delicious mix to ensure the horses get adequate water and electrolytes in these cold snaps! The nice thing too is it’s very budget friendly! Check them out!

Penny just can’t get enough of our new Banks Mill Feed Sport 14! I have fed Purina products for a long time and loved them, but with the rising cost of horse care going up in every facet it’s been a real struggle to afford the quality of care I expect. With the Sport 14 feed we ( me and the horses!) are finding it very comparable to ultium competition without cringing every time we go to the checkout counter! Feel free to ask me any questions about it or the other products available!
