Today is a hard day. We closed our gym…Seven years ago, we set out on a journey to create more than just a gym—we wanted to build a community. I don’t even know where to start, but we built Doxa from the ground up. What started in our garage turned into a dream realized—a place where people came together, pushed past their limits, and found strength in more ways than one.
Along the way, I made mistakes, learned lessons, and grew in ways I never could have imagined. But through it all, the one thing that remained constant was the incredible people who walked through these doors every day. This gym wasn’t just a business to me—it was a part of who I was. It was my passion, my purpose, and my second home. The thought of saying goodbye is heartbreaking because this place holds so many memories—of hard work, determination, laughter, and friendships that I know will last a lifetime.
This gym was never just about fitness. It was about the friendships built, the kids we watched grow up, the confidence we saw develop in people who once doubted themselves. It was about the countless therapy sessions disguised as workouts, the moments we struggled together, grew together, and celebrated each other’s victories. We held community events, shared meals, and showed up for one another in ways that went far beyond the gym walls. This place was home.
We’ve pushed each other, lifted each other up, and created something truly special. The sweat, the struggles, and the triumphs we faced together—those are the moments I will cherish forever. More than the workouts, it’s the people, the support, and the bonds we built that made this place what it was.
As this chapter comes to an end, I want to thank each and every one of you for being a part of this journey. For showing up, for believing in this gym, and for making it what it was. Though these doors may close, the memories, the lessons, and the friendships will live on.
This is an incredibly sad moment for me, but I know that growth comes from change. Keep pushing forward, keep growing, and know that I will always be cheering you on.
With gratitude and love,
Ashley
