Come ride with us. :) After providing horseback riding instruction in Calvert County, Maryland for over 33 years, New Era Farm, LLC is now based in Aiken, SC, and remains the place to learn to ride. Our spacious covered arena allows us to ride in any kind of weather, year round. With a fleet of 10 horses and ponies, you do not need to own your own horse, though many of our students trailer their

own horses in for lessons. Our students range in age from 5 to 75 years old, and are beginners through very advanced levels of riding. Adult beginners are a specialty. We strive to create a happy, friendly environment in which to learn about horses and enjoy the equestrian experience. What’s on my mind? This Devil’s Kitchen of Heat! Wanna beat it? Come ride in our shady, covered arena, complete with 24 foot overhead fan. We had riding lessons this morning and sailed through with ease!

Lessons don’t resume until Tuesday, so give us a call to reserve your private time. Price is $50.00 for a private hour for one horse. Bring friends (up to four horses) and the price per person drops.

This weekend at our farm, Richard Malmgren returns to once again teach us all about Swedish Long-Lining. He's absolutely terrific, and explains every step of the way what he's doing, and how the horse feels to him.

Saturday start time is 8:30, and Sunday is 9:00.

Auditors are welcome for $15.00 payable to organizer Tazma Toi Trent, who will be there.

Need a dry place to ride today? We've got you literally covered in our large (90x160) covered arena. Bookings are available after 11:00 a.m. this morning.

Prices start at $50.00 an hour, and your time is your private time, no sharing unless you bring friends. Four horse maximum per hour. Trainers with students welcome with proof of current insurance.

How can I ever express the thanks I have for my wonderful students? There are days I feel tired and once I hit the arena they buoy me up, giving me energy I didn't know I had in my tank. They always try and roll with the punches this sport of ours can deliver. I mean, if it was easy, everyone would do it, right? It's not easy, but they never give up, and they prove to themselves it CAN be done. (Psssst...little secret: I'm in on the Cosmic joke, I KNOW that they can do it!)

They make me laugh, sometimes cry, they embarrass me with their generosity, and they always make me proud. Always. Most importantly, they put the horses first, every ride.

How can I ever express my thanks? By saying, "Thank You", and that I'm glad we're on this ride together. Merry Christmas, my friends. ♥️♥️♥️
