The Fermata Club We have social events all year long. Everyone is welcome to join the Fermata family! Membership is available and affordable as a single, couple or family.

The Fermata Club is a member-owned swimming, tennis, and social club in the heart of historic Aiken with 5 tennis courts, pickleball, and an Olympic size salt water pool. The Story of The Fermata Club
The Fermata Club is a social swim and tennis club founded in 1952 by a group of 16 families who first leased the property of the former Fermata School for Girls and then bought the property after th

e group had grown to 115 families. The Club added more tennis courts, then enlarged the existing pool and more recently, replaced the pool with a new 25 meter competition pool with a diving well. The Club is located in the historic downtown district and rents the Gymnasium from the Fermata School for Girls as a venue for a variety of uses including weddings and receptions, graduation events and family reunions. The Fermata Club is a member owned facility and use of the facilities is limited to the members and their guests. Public events are sponsored including the Annual Polar Plunge in the pool in January. For these events, the public is invited to spectate and participate. In addition, the local high schools host their swim meets at Fermata pool. These swim meets are open to the public. The Fermata Club offers swim lessons, tennis lessons and hosts a summer camp. Looking forward to more pool fun this month, and more to come later this Fall!

🎥 Movie night Saturday, September 12. Members, vote on your preferred film through the website.
👢Line dancing is back! Friday, September 18, 8 pm, with instruction from North Augusta's Star Dance Academy. $10 for members, $15 for guests.
🪩 Dancing in the Moonlight with Italian Dinner, Saturday, September 26! RSVP through the website. $20 for members, $25 for guests includes dinner.
🧘‍♀️Yoga classes continue poolside Mondays (no yoga Labor Day!) and Wednesdays 8:45-9:45 am. $10 for members, $15 for guests.
🎾 Tennis lessons and clinics are available with Jason!
🥋 Quest Martial Arts classes Tuesday and Thursday evenings. More info at https://www.questformartialarts.org/
🍁 Our Fall Festival with chili cookoff, games for kids, and live music will be November 14. Open to the public.

The Fermata Gymnasium, built in 1929, will have significant stabilization work undertaken this month and next, including replacing the roof, rebuilding the back porch, and more exterior updates to ensure the building is beautiful, useful and sturdy for another 100 years. The Fermata Club is grateful for the help and support of our members, the Fermata Foundation, and these organizations.
